Textile Artist & Natural Dyer

Ella Henry is a textile artist, print designer, and educator whose work explores the relationship between colour, pattern, and the natural world. Based in Liverpool, she creates textiles that honour traditional craft while embracing thoughtful, sustainable ways of making.

Having lived and worked across South East Asia and Mexico, Ella’s creative practice is shaped by a deep appreciation for cultural craftsmanship and the slow processes that connect people, place, and material. Her work draws from these influences to create vibrant, pattern-rich textiles that celebrate the imperfect beauty of nature.

With a background in fashion textiles and a master’s degree in Fashion Innovation, Ella’s journey has evolved from running an ethical swimwear brand to developing a body of work centred on natural dyes and sustainable textile design. Alongside her studio practice, she teaches and runs workshops, sharing the joy of colour created through plants and the transformative experience of making by hand.

Through her work, Ella seeks to inspire connection to nature, to creativity, and to the quiet beauty of slow, intentional making.
